Bosch has been producing diesel systems since 1927 and we are now established as the world's largest producer of diesel fuel injection equipment. With the need to meet new emissions regulations, fine tolerances and precision engineering are essential. Bosch is committed to the continued development of parts and control systems such as the new high pressure injection system, optimising the performance of the diesel engine and minimising harmful emissions. Again, we bring these advances to the Aftermarket with products such as Duraterm Glow Plugs.

As an integral part of car styling, Bosch's innovation in headlamp design and technology is clearly visible on the roads of today.

Such developments led to the introduction of high performance halogen headlamp bulbs, polyellipsoid (P.E.S.) lighting systems and more recently Litronic, which uses a bulb without a filament, filled with Xenon gas and which emits a beam close to natural light.

By the year 2000, it is estimated that over one million vehicles will be fitted with Bosch Litronic.
